Las Vegas Bowl

Las Vegas Bowl: 2018 The Fresno State Bulldogs are the 2018 Mountain West champions and they are heading to the Las Vegas Bowl to face the Arizona State Sundevils. The game will be broadcast on ABC30 on Saturday, December 15th and Action News is the place to turn for the best coverage of the Bulldogs.

Fresno State finished the year ranked 21st in the College Football Playoff standings with a 11-2 record. The team punched their ticket to Vegas in a nail-biter of a game, a 19-16 overtime win during a snowstorm that turned Boise State’s blue field white.

Fresno State and Arizona State play starting at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. The game is at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Arizona State senior quarterback Manny Wilkins is known for the emotion and passion with which he plays. So one would think he’d be quite emotional with the days of his collegiate career rapidly coming to a close.

Wilkins says he has already come to terms with the end of his ASU career. It hit him hard twice — once before he took the field on Senior Day against UCLA, then again moments after the Sun Devils rallied to beat Arizona 41-40 in Tucson for the Territorial Cup.

He looks at Saturday’s Las Vegas Bowl game against No. 21 Fresno State (11-2) at Sam Boyd Stadium as one last chance to play with his “brothers.” He is focusing more on his time with them than the end of his ASU career. He is in elite company when it comes to another feat, as well. He joins those two as the only ASU quarterbacks in the Pac era to beat both USC and rival Arizona in the same year.
